When to use a cleanser in the morning
Mochi Facial Cleanser does not have to be part of your morning routine every day. The instructions recommend using it in the morning and/or evening, so pay attention to what your skin needs. It can be useful when you wake up with sebum, night cream or sweat on your face. If your skin feels tight but is otherwise clean, rinsing with water is enough.
How to use it
If some night cream is still on your face, the cleanser has something to remove. Apply it to dry skin and massage gently, keeping away from your eyes and mouth. Rinse with lukewarm water, then pat your skin dry. The product information lists salicylic acid and niacinamide among the ingredients. Once a week, you can leave it on dry skin for three to five minutes as a mask before rinsing.
When water is enough
When your skin is clean and free of cream, sebum and sweat but feels tight, water is enough. Reach for the cleanser when sebum has built up or after a night when you have sweated. If your skin feels tight and does not need cleansing, you can skip it.
In the evening, use the cleanser again only if your skin needs it. The article on double cleansing explains where it fits into your evening routine. If your skin is oily but dehydrated, see the article on oily but dehydrated skin. For tightness linked to tap water, the article on hard water and tight facial skin may help. If you rinse your face with water that is too hot, the article on skin-cleansing mistakes explains what can happen. For this cleanser, the instructions recommend lukewarm water.
